To grow further, we are looking to expand our Sales team with a new colleague: EXPORT SALES MANAGER with experience in business development. We are interested in hearing from candidates with extensive international sales experience as well as starters with a desire to learn all the ins and outs of the challenging world of sales.
You develop commercial activities in geographic regions where the organisation is not yet present or is underrepresented, with the aim of expanding Dewulf's market share.
You operate from HQ in Roeselare (Belgium) and are in the field 30 to 50% of the time. During these business trips you have intensive contact with potential dealers and end users and develop a sixth sense for what the market needs. Over time you will lead a team of regional sales specialists who know the agricultural world inside out. You develop and motivate your team to maximise their know-how and skills.
You assist the management in developing the strategic Sales & Marketing plans for your regions and implement them by establishing challenging yet achievable objectives for the geographic areas that fall within your remit.
You develop markets (sometimes from scratch), set up dealer structures and strengthen relationships with our existing customers. You listen to commercial needs, suggest solutions, follow up on actions and results, organise marketing activities and provide support for technical questions, requested customised product development, training needs and after-sales needs. Based on your market insight you inform product managers of changes that could make the product range perform even better.
You investigate market developments, analyse the market position of competitors and question dealers, end customers and prospects to discover new opportunities in order to keep a step ahead of the competition.
Together with the management you work out the commercial strategy, prepare quotations and negotiate with dealers and end customers. We always aim to build long-term relationships.
You work with the Factory Support department to organise user training sessions for dealer employees to improve their knowledge of the capabilities of our machines and so they can properly inform the end customers.
You report to the Sales & Marketing director.
You have a Master's degree and at least 3 years' experience in international sales of capital goods.
You are knowledgable about or have a great interest in the agricultural sector and have a pragmatic approach.
Basic technical insight is a must.
You speak multiple languages fluently, are a good communicator (written and oral) and can be very convincing.
You are well organised, work methodically and are a reliable negotiator.
You can coach and manage people in a motivational manner.
You are hands-on and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
